Interesting indeed! Forgive my for my ignorance, but do I understand correctly that the Australian Imperial Force was sent overseas? And that out of the 741 tractors assigned to the AIF, 441 were sent to the Middle East and 84 to Malaya?
So what happened to the remaining 1,400 minus 741 tractors? Did they all remain on the Australian mainland?
