Gents,
The said radio receiver is now a collection item at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, thanks to Mike Kelly. The MH 2 Man tank was a Refugee Cargo item which arrived in Australia during the dark days of early 1942. None of the 149 tanks survived the war as they were cannabalised to provide armour for small craft (ships) and engines for Lighters (see previous post). The survival of the radio receiver plus ancillaries (headsets, boom mics, etc) makes a significant addition to the Memorial's collection.
Thanks again to Mike Kelly.
