I am currently writing a book on the Burma Thailand Railway (the River Kwai)
Surviving POW veterans I have interviewed have told me that in most cases the only truck that could get through the jungle after the Japanese victory in 1942 were Marmons.

Would these trucks be captured civilian vehicles? OR possibly captured British or Australian military trucks?

Details of my book can be found on my blog robinrowland.com/garret/index.html

Any suggestions would be appreciated

thanks

Robin
