March Madness

I was just looking over the stats for the forum, and this past March marked a big milestone for NFCS.NET. For the first time, the forums had over a million page views - 1,021,508 to be exact. We came close last November with 955,176 page views, but because we humans love round numbers and this pesky base-10 system, close definitely means no cigar. We also had over 10,000 posts to the forums during that time, another record.

Obviously, a million people are not reading the forums. Think of a page view as a click. When you visit the forums, you may click on 20 different pages, and that registers as 20 page views. It's hard to know exactly how many people read the forum, but there are over 3000 registered logins (some are, of course, duplicates) and over the course of a month, the forum is hit by over 7000 unique IP addresses. So, a rough estimate of our readership lies somewhere between 2000 and 4000 people a month.

What does all this mean? Nothing much. I just think it's kind of cool and wanted to let you all know.
