Seriously - I don't mind the frame ads on the side, but now the pop ups within the actual messages itself? Come on!
How much money do you need to get rid of those? Let's say we have 20 core users. If each one of us core users coughed up X dollars? Really? How much and I'll do my best to send it in!!!! Shessh!
OK, beneficent administrator, glad to see that you're back. Which would you prefer? Which would do the most good for our community? (BTW for the curious, the 12 month upgrade is $18, 6 month is $12.)
How much? These damn pop-up ads are driving me bonkers! How much does it really cost to get rid of the ads? If each person with a login donated a buck, would that do it? Or 5 bucks? Or what?!
But seriously, I know you're a volunteer, I know you have a life, I know you're busy out there trying to sing, too. But you couldn't spare 10 minutes to post an annoucement asking for donations this year? What happened to 'fundraising drive coming soon'? Yes we should all be repsonsible people and just give. But a nice annoucement to remind everyone is just common sense.
If it's really too time consuming, then maybe one of us can take over? Or one of us could type up some text asking for donations and e-mail it? Or post it? Or find another bb hosting service?
I was being sincere, I don't have a clue as to how much it costs to host/run this thing. But I care enough about it to give.
It does take longer to get the posts now that the ads are in them.
Yes, if I don't like it I can stop coming here. Instead of that, I am volunteering to help. If you don't want it, just say so.
