Abricot shampoo for dry hair.
This shampoo is very gentle (even though it does contain alcohol, but you rinse it out anyway) and contains no sulfates.
It is a glucoside shampoo and it doesn't lather at all. Because of the non-lather it can be a bit difficult to distribute it on the scalp if you have thick hair. The smell is kind of chemical (the alcohol) earthy (it has a lot of 'natural' ingredients) but I couldn't smell it afterwards.
The reason I think it would be good for those that dont shampoo (yes I know;) but this shampoo doesn't feel like a shampoo) or are trying to limit their use of shampoo is because it doesn't strip the hair and work kind of like a conditioner-wash. It leaves the hair very soft and moisturized without the squeaky-clean-feel.
I think it would work wonders for people who are washing their hair everyday, but it is very expensive(even though you dont use a lot).
Dr.Hauschka have shampoos for oily hair, normal hair (neem) and a ordinary shampoo. I am going to try the neem shampoo, the neem hair treatment and the herbal conditioner and will ofcourse post reviews.
So far the Apricot shampoo gets 4 stars out of 5. I will have to see the long-time effects before considering giving it 5.
Pros: Environmentally rather good, no sulfates, very gentle.
Cons: Very expensive, smells funny, doesn't lather at all.
