It is basically seawater [well, water + seasalt], oils, a cone and a bunch of other unpronouncable stuff. It seems like a bad idea to actually spray saltwater into your hair, but "Curly Girl" author says salt helps separate the curls and gives them definition. Many curly girls say their best hair days are at the ocean.
I found mine at WalMart for a little over 5$.
Instructions say to use on wet or dry hair, I tried it both ways.
I found that the spray deal doesn't really 'mist' it is more like a 'stream', so I used too much the first time on dry hair. But it did enhance my waves/curls, it gave me a ropey look, with the spirals starting up higher on my head.
It worked better on wet hair, I sprayed it into my palms and worked it into the hair before combing it through, and air drying.
I like the look, it is fun and would be appropriate for an outdoor or street setting. Not sure how well it would go down at the office lol.
I am thinking that if you have any wave pattern at all in your hair, then this stuff will enhance it.
There were two things I did not like, first the spray pump did not mist for me. Second, it smells strongly of coconut, and I do not like to smell like a food item [I had cravings for the bag of Mounds candy bars stashed away in the cupboard lol]. DH liked it tho
