OddTodd...you were too kind with Episode II

Face it...Episode II was RI-DIC-U-LOUS! It was total chaos, and not the good kind of chaos like in Jurassic Park. The movie didn't know wether it should be a serious fantasy story or wacky off-the-wall cartoon. And it looked like a cartoon considering how much goofy CG there was in it. Some facts proving my point below... Do not read on if you haven't seen it yet and actually care.

- boring dialogue spoken without any emotion and when emotion was attempted it was forced and unbelieveable (I think we can all agree on that)
- That stupid diner scene!! WHAT THE FUDGE WAS THAT!?!
- C3PO has become the new Jar Jar. They cut Jar Jar from a lot of the movie but gave all his bumbling and goofiness that everyone hated to C3PO.
- TOO MUCH CG!! Everything looked fake and cartoony. George Lucas once said "The special effects should never overshadow the story." So much for that theory, eh George?
- Too many stupid oneliners that would have served better in a Chris Rock cop movie. For some reason there was a lot of modern slang, dialogue and culture that did not fit into the Star Wars universe.
- That stupid Clone Factory assembly line action scene. Once again...WHAT THE FUDGE!?! That was right out of a Warner Bros cartoon or a level in Super Mario. I kept expecting to see Sylvester chasing Tweety along the convenyor belt in the background.
- No sense of structure or flow to the story. Scenes seemed to be added simply because they had to. "Ok, now in this scene we have to show how Anakin and Amidala love each other. Ok, now in this scene we have to show how Anakin is getting mad and more evil. Ok, now here we need a chase. Ok, now here let's have them talk about the situation in the Republic. Ok, now a scene with monsters, a huge fight with hundreds of Jedi's, another chase, ultimate jedi fight and we're done!"

I could go on with more criticisms of the movie but I think you get my point. Couple of redeeming points, I thought Ewan McGregor did an OK job as a more mature Obi-Wan. And also I did enjoy seeing Yoda show us why he is the ultimate Jedi.

And that's all i have to say about that. Let the backlash begin!!!

this movie was utter crap. i'm just as big of a fan as the stormtrooper-dressed-in-line fans but i HATE this movie. not only is there nothing good about it, EVERYTHING IS WRONG about it. its completely boring and lifeless like a 3rd grade production of hamlet. seeing it a second time i wanted to leave. my girfriend had to nap to stop the pain.
theres no point to me pointing out specific flaws because absolutely every minute is wrong. lucas needs to stop directing forever. he ruined this.

Good call with the topical post. Also, did you hear that NBC is cancelling 'Friends'? I hope that Ben and J. Lo don't break up. I wonder who the Democrats will pick for the 2004 Election

GIVE ME A F#$%ING BREAK! THE SLOW KID THAT LIVES DOWN THE STREET FROM ME, CAN THINK UP MORE STIMULATING TOPICS. CHRIST!

There's no need for that comma in the middle of your rant.

PS Will the Red Sox break "the curse"?

1.if u expected star wars to be the drama of the year (oh sorry 3 years ago) piss off.

2. The new star wars films are made for CHILDREN. Kids love 'em, which means george lucas has done his job. So don't go off saying how hes an messed everything up. Fact is hes a millionaire and you're not.
