"The Punisher" Review

Unfortunately for me, I lost a bet and had to see "The Punisher" last night. However, I tried to go in there with an open mind, ready for anything. To my dismay, I felt that I just got kicked in the stomach. So here's what I'm going to do:

I'm going to rent every episode of "Full House" and worship the acting skills of my new favorite actor, John Stamos. Why do you ask? Because John Stamos just dumped Rebecca Romayne Stamos. And why did he dump Rebecca Romayne Stamos, you ask? Because he too, just saw this movie and decided to exfoliate himself from anything that had to do with this SINKING SHIP of a movie they call "The Punisher".

The acting was weak. Thomas Jayne, who I now despise, not because he has two first names and one of them is a womans name, was like pulling teeth. And every time they had to show a gratuitous scene with his shirt off, they did. Trust me friends, I'm not trying to be a playa hata, I just wish he would've gone to acting school first, instead of the gym.

The one-liners in this movie were just horrible. The dialogue was so bad, that I went and slapped the girl behind the counter (the one who got me my Raisinets) because she worked in the movie theatre and this same movie theatre exposed me to a horror that I can never get out of my brain, "The Punisher".

I only wish at the end, he would've pulled the trigger so that this movie could not pro-create. But alas, there's room for another one.....pity.

I swear, Gigli, right now looks appealing to me. In fact, Gigli looks like Citizen Kane next to this trash heap.

So, I've decided to make a resolution....I'm going to call all of my friends and family that I have and tell them that I'm leaving their world so that I won't contaminate them with this sewage that is now running through my bloodstream, having just seen "The Punisher".

I hate myself!

You paid to go see "The Punisher"?
Why not just rent "Dirty Harry" & watch the original?

Nik,

You are 100% correct. Dirty Harry was a classic and believe me, I should see it over and over again, to remind me what a good "tough guy" movie is supposed to be like. Unfortunately, my friend Jeremy dragged me to see "The Punisher".

I really hate my life a lot now, since I've been contaminated.

Yes but...

...it could not have been worse than the Dolph Lundgren version of the same movie.

Or for that matter "I Come In Peace".

Shot in Houston! Go H-Toizown!

I like hubcaps.

John Stamos correlation

John Stamos used to be married to Rebecca Romaine Stamos. Rebecca Romaine Stamos was in "The Punisher" to my dismay. My guess, is that when John Stamos saw his wife in this pitiful movie, he divorced her. That is the reason, why, I'm such a John Stamos fan now.

The Punisher was a good movie.
I hate people who dont appreciate a movie just because of the violence.

I think one of the main reasons given for not liking this movie was the weak acting.

Good point VM,

Ben,
I never mentioned anything to do with the violence in the movie. In fact, when the kid was killed (and the family, for that matter) that was my favorite part (besides the scrolling credits at the end). I think I just mentioned the acting.

Week acting? John Travolta, how can you people put that name and week acting in the same line. Im diappointed. Yea the movie could have been a lot better. But look at the big picture, a man lost his whole entire family. Damn you know the rage that built up inside of him. He was better of being dead to me. The plot was developed and overall the movie mad a lot of sense. I would give it 2 and a half stars.
