So what do you think is the best film(s) of the 90's?

I have my opinions, but I want to see what you would say first

Definately Shawshank. Magnolia, Pulp Fiction, and Fight Club close behind.

There's lots more, but I can't think right now.

VH1 is doing an "I love the 90's" series...starting next month. I'm sure we'll all get our fill of 90's movies then.

My favorites:
Pulp Fiction
Clerks/Mallrats/Chasing Amy
Singles
The Fugitive
Braveheart
Casino

so many more...

Wow...some good choices I'd say. I also had no idea they were going to "I Love The 90's" on VH1. I adored the 80's show, so hopefully it'll be just as good. Here are some of my picks:

Tommy Boy
Dumb and Dumber
Romy and Michele's High School Reunion
Wayne's World 1 and 2
Sister Act 1 and 2
City Slickers 1 and 2
Shawshank Redemption
The Green Mile
American Beauty
Lost In Yonkers
Newsies
Ghost
The Wedding Singer
A League Of Their Own
Now and Then
Heart & Souls
How To Make An American Quilt
Father Of The Bride
Forrest Gump
William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet
Beauty and the Beast
Aladdin
Empire Records
Enemy of the State
Last of the Mohicans

Man, I didn't realize how my long my list was. If I think of more, I'll let you know.

Oops! I can't believe I forgot about "Reality Bites"! That is, by far, one of my absolute favorites. A friend of mine just informed me that "Reality Bites" has just been re-released on DVD with a ton of special features commemorating its 10 year anniversary!!! Seriously, I feel old knowing that its been 10 years, don't you? Apparently they re-released the soundtrack too with 6 bonus tracks including new stuff from Lisa Loeb and more. How cool is that?!

Reality Bites?

Um...That does make me feel old! 10 years sounds like a long time:-( In any case that is cool, i had almost forogt about that movie too. Ben Stiller behind the camera, was that his first directing effort? In any case now i'll have to check it out, the soundtrack too.

I picked the Reality Bites soundtrack up the other day actually. I really like the songs they added to it. The acoustic version of "Stay(I Missed You)" by Lisa Loeb rocks!

That's really great to hear! 1) That I'm not alone in praising the music and film and 2) That the soundtrack is great. I think I'll go ahead and buy it. Thanks for the input!

'The Legend of 1900' with Tim Roth, and I agree. I think it's a pretty cool flick as well. (I particularly liked the piano 'showdown' scene).

I actually really liked The Sixth Sense. Braveheart and Pulp Fiction too. Sadly, unlike the eighties, I just don't think of a lot of stellar movies when I think of the nineties. There were good ones but not great. Oh s**t, forgot Forrest Gump. Ok, I'm out.
