THX-1138. Personally, I have no friggin' idea how Lucas landed Robert Duvall AND Donald Pleasance in this flick. I've seen 'student films' and THX is not. From what I gather from the 'new' trailer Lucas just did what he did for the supposed middle films of his 'nonology' (Star Wars thru Jedi) which is, simply putting some FX in the background. My response? To quote Butthead, "These effects aren't so special."
Nonetheless, if you're a fan of the BOOKS 'Brave New World' and/or '1984' - that is precisely what THX-1138 is. But what I found the most entertaining, were the sound effects. If you listen closely you'll hear scads of sound effects that he used in Star Wars, Empire and Jedi. They show the 'orignal' on cable from time to time, so I suggest you keep the 8 bucks to burn a hole in your pocket.
