Glad I'm not a hardcore Aquaman fan..

Aquaman: The Comedy?
"Screwball" approach rumored.

September 08, 2004 - Sources advised The Comic Reel that Aquaman producers Alan and Peter Riche want their big-screen version of the DC Comics superhero to be "a goofy screwball comedy. Their thought was, 'since he's such a stupid character let's play that up.'"

The Comic Reel's scooper adds "that despite his source's reliability, this is still just a rumor for now, so caveat emptor and what not."

Ben Grant is scripting Aquaman. This comedic approach makes one wonder whether the Riches will cast their Starsky & Hutch lead Owen Wilson as the title character.

If they are talking about the earlier aquaman then they are right he is a terrible character, recently they tried to upgrade him into the serious Realm but deep down you know he still is that dejected little twirp of a superhero that talks to fishes.... man he's terrible.
