Yes, but I saw "Ali" & that was partly set in Africa. Will Smith did an OK job, but the Ali voice seemed a bit put-on from time to time.

Also, I wouldn't mind seeing a movie about Rwanda, but I don't know if I'd ever actually want to go there . . . for a vacation.

The gorillas will only be around probably for another 20 years. After that there won't be any tourist attractions in Rwanda.

I saw it!

Saw it last Tuesday. Worth seeing for sure. The lighting was the only thing that I didn't like -at times it made it look sorta low budget. I think it was the lighting.

I don't normally say things like "people should see this movie to be educated on the subject". Usually that's bullshit cuz it's highly unlikely that the story wasn't all messed up or embellished or whatever. This movie though -like Schindler's List - should be seen. It'll quite possibly make you sick to see how the world ignored and abandoned these people in their most horrific hour. Whether the exact story of this hotel dude is totally right or not I don't know, but the whole genocide thing did happen. The only people who made the slightest effort (and it was very slight) were my fellow canadians. Yup - we put 300 peacekeepers to hold back a nation of millions. (didn't really work thast well)

Oh yeah, and I think Don Cheadle is a terrific actor. Strong performance.

I think there is... the original title was 'Kickboxer XII: Live at the Hotel Rwanda'. Micheal Buffer makes a cameo even.
