| Was pretty good, but I don't think anyone should rush out and see it. It treads a very thin line with boredom for quite a while. It's never particularly intense, except for the bus scene you see a clip of in the trailer. The movie needed more of those kinds of moments (not necessarily something blowing up, that's not what made that scene great anyway, it was everything leading up to it). The fact that Pollack was able to shoot the flick inside the real UN was impressive, and added a lot to the flick. Penn and Kidman were good as usual. Overall I'd say wait for the DVD. |

Yeah... as much as I need to see a 'grown up' thriller, I'm gonna pass. The UN doesn't really have that much power, how can I appreciate the plot and such if I feel the ramifications are so empty? You might as well tell me that Belgians are invading Greenland.
Besides, if you want a good 'thriller' that has the UN in it, watch 'Revenge of the Pink Panther' (and it's got a great parody of President Ford!) |

It's not about how much power the UN has. A rebel leader wants to exercise his right to speak in front of the UN, whom the United States hates. So the ramifications of us letting someone we openly hate get shot in the head, inside the UN on our soil, are pretty big. |
