Remember all the 'good' parts of the 2nd and 3rd 'Matrix' films? That is, any part that didn't involve the ridiculous dialogue? That's what you can expect from 'Kung Fu Hustle'. Trust me here folks, the violence isn't as 'cartoonish' as the commercials claim. If you liked the frenetic pace of 'Kill Bill, Vol 1. (note: NOT Vol. 2) you will love this picture. If you liked the good Jackie Chan pics (before he got a little doughy) you will love this picture. OK - maybe I'm overselling it - just color me surprised.

I saw the trailer for this and the special effects looked just as cheesy and unpolished, if not more so, as Shaolin Soccer. Of course in Shaolin that only added to the overall humour of the film which I would expect it to do in this one. Thats the real reason I watch a Stephen Chow movie anyway.
