When I was little I saw a movie that scared the hell out of me.
I probably saw it back in 1979 or later.
This is going to be REALLY VAGUE, but it's all I remember...

I remember a man or woman, moving furniture to cover up a door in the floor. They put a rug over it, then a table. Later,
someone moved the table and rug, and discovered the door, they opened it, and I think a man came out wearing a cape, and he was holding a woman's fingernail????!!! The Guy wearing the cape, had short dark hair and a sinsister smile, and NO, I really don't think it was dracula.

It probably wasn't even really that scarey, but I was little. Sounds damn weird though, doesn't it? What the heck was that movie??

That doesn't sound so much like a scary or a cult movie from the late 70s - but more like the 'lost' initiation tape one of my loser friend's made during Rush for ZBT fraternity (Zero, But Trying).

Anyone remember the movie "Don't Look in the Basement"?
When I was about four (I had to be,my dad died when i was four) my Dad took Mom, older sister (6), and I to the drive-in to see Amityville Horror. DLITB was the opening movie. I remember an old lady who didn't have a tongue and it scared the bejeezus out of me. To this very day!

I don't think I've seen it. Looked it up on IMdB, I'm pretty sure I would have remembered it. As for the other question, everyone's family is a little crazy. It seems like you turned out alright. (except for being a movie board person Hell, I think I'm normal in most respects and here I am blabbering. I do like THE SAUCE, though. And I can't spell worth a damn.
