Ok, there was this movie I used to watch when I was younger (I am 23 so it wasn't that long ago). Anyway, it was about a young girl who's grandmother was living with them. But, it was getting too difficult for her parents to care for her, so they decided to send her to a nursing home. The little girl discovers she can step through her magic mirror into this world where these berries exist. The berries make you young and keep you young as long as you continue eating them. They also dissapear once they hit the ground, so you have to be careful. The evil queen or witch uses these berries to stay young and beautiful, so the queen does everything in her power to stop the girl from getting them. I think the girl also makes friends with some wierd creatures along the way. The girl finally gets the berries and as she is stepping through the mirror back into her room, she trips and all the berries fall onto the floor and disappear. I think it ends with them deciding to let the grandma stay, but I don't know. Does anyone know the title of this movie or where I could find the title??? Please, HELP ME, it is driving me crazy! Thanks!
Hi, I know what movie your talking about, i've seen it when i was a young girl too, the little creature friends that live behind the mirror are a kind of doll i used to have when i was a girl. I am so sorry that i don't know the title either, but i will definetly start searching.
Hi, I came on the web to try and find out what that movie is called too! I know the exact one you were explaining as that was one of my favourite movies as a child. Whenever I ask other people about it they always say Lion, which and the wardrobe - and I'm like No! thats not it damn it! I can't help you with the title sorry but It's always driven me crazy too not knowing the title. Do you remember it was her dolls that led her through the mirror and her family never beleived her that her dolls came alive. I remember one of the dolls got stuck in the clothes dryer or the front loading washing machine. Her big brother used to ignor her and walked aroung the house with his headphones on. The dolls were quite weird looking with red curly hair (the word munchkins comes to mind) and they had a tea party in her room at one stage.
Let me know if you find the title. I'd love to rent it out again that would be soooo funny.

And for further movie queries adriana is spot on, IMDb.com really is a magical place!

its the hugg-a-bunches movie!! im 24 that movie was soooooo cool when i was growing up it was like my ultimate favorite movie only no one had ever heard of it!
Oh My God!!! It is so weird that we found this message board, me and my sister were sitting here just talking about Hugga bunch dolls. When we were growing up our parents owned a video store and we saw every cartoon you can imagine. That was one of our favorite movies. That and Strawberry shortcake. Though we recall the movie you sure seem to recall it more vividly then us. Thanks for the flashback!!!
Oh My God, I've been looking for this forever!!!!!!!! Everyone I've ever tried to explain this to had dismissed it for Labyrinth or The Dark Crystal or The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Noone ever knew what I was talking about! I thought I may have dreamt it up! People thought I was crazy when I told them about the mirror and the monster and the castle and the disappearing berries. I can't believe there's a whole site dedicated to it!
Go to ebay! They have it on DVD.
Crazy! I am 25 and my sister and I use to watch this movie all the time. I believe hugabunch is the name of the movie too. I am trying to locate a copy as well. let me know if you have any luck.
I have been looking for the last 8 yrs. for someone else who could remember this movie. I had it recorded when I was a little girl and my dad recorded over it with a stupid western. I actually still have the vhs it was recorded on. Does anyone know where I could purchase it? Thanks AGAIN.
Everybody it isn't true!!! This movies doesn't exist!!! they made up the name and concept. It's a trap.... Just a ploy to get your money, don't read and don't post!!!
I too remember this film, I am 26 and remember seeing it when I was young. I remember the girl going through the mirror into 'Munchkin Land'(?) and there was a witch who kept young buy eating peaches??? They were special peaches, kept in a glass jar! She took over the land?
The jar fell, scattering the peaches/berries, whatever and she turned old.
Okay this has been driving me crazy TOO!! Not sure what the name is but Im sure It's just the huggabunch movie, or one of them. I remember at the beginning the huggabunch gets thrown into the washing machine....then later they step through the mirror and walk down that sideways sidewalk...they get to the tree with all the berries and it's in this glass house thing. Then they go to the castle and there are elephant-type things guarding it...so weird. If you find out the name...let me know what the hell it is!! My email is leajoanna@gmail.com
nous avons décidé d'un prénom en 1999 pour notre petite fille. nous l'avons appellé léa-joanna et nous pensions que c'était un prénom unique ! elle a aujourd'hui 9 ans. nous vivons en France.
