Another tour de force performance from Sean Bean, and Sarsgard(sp?), Foster. But not even Bean could save this movie. Mainly because he was grossly under utilized. This movie was just all around piss poor. It's not even remotely tense one time. You don't even care about the little girl because before she disappears she barely says three sentences. And now, the twist to this turd. Consider this a spoiler warning, but I think you should read on for two reasons, there's no reason you should see this, and it's so preposterous it'll allow you to hate this movie with me without actually having to suffer through it.

Jodie Foster is not out of her head. Her little girl was kidnapped by the air marshall and his flight attendant in crime. Who then tells the captain that she is a terrorist and demands 50 million dollars transfered into her bank account or she'll blow the plane with C4 and remote detenator that she hid in her dead husband's casket which is in the cargo hold. Also, the captain is not allowed to speak with her under any circumstances, because in doing so the paper thin script would collapse on itself. Get's better as we're beaten over the head with a heavy dose of "racial profiling am bad!" yadda yadda because Foster is convinced that the two Arabs in the front row are the one's who took her because they...looked at her the night before! Of course it's a happy ending, and the Arabian guys exchange pitiful glances with Foster in the airport as they hand her her bags and you get that vomit taste in your mouth for just how damn corny all of this is.

Heard about the protest on the radio this morning, which completely spoils the plot...which is fine since I wasn't going to see this anyway...

And knowing Disney, they'll probably apologize as they truly do try to please all the people, and end up with less-than-mediocre crap as a result.

I'm guessing the reason Jody picked this film, othere than the evil twin theory, was that she had an unexpected expense come up [car transmission... furnace broke down, somthing] and did this for the fast cash...

I noticed that too! I've never heard a spoiler in a protest! Dumb protest toO!

I am sure the producers didn't see this one coming....
