I never EVER do this, because it's petty and infantile, but a friend of mine GAVE me the DVD of 'Dreamcatcher' - and I couldn't believe how many things irritated me (they shouldn't have, 'cause I normally like Stephen King based flicks). Anyway, since it's fresh in my head - here's what I got (feel free to add your own - and if you're worried about spoilers, don't worry, I'm doing you a favor)
In no particular order
1. The nicknames of characters ('Jonesy'; 'Dudditz'?!?)
2. Aliens that burrowed through your colon
3. Best acting in the movie is done by Tom Sizemore?! (friggin' Morgan Freeman is it)
4. The buddy vernacular (grown men do not say 'SSDD' or 'fuckaroo')
5. Even the nicest and most moral of 12 year old boys, would not become best friends with a mentally challenged child.
6. The alien that takes over Jonesy's body speaks with an aristocratic British dialect (WHAT?!?)
7. While communicating telepathically, Thomas Jane actually places his gun to his cheek as if it were a genuine telephone to speak.
There's plenty more - but I just couldn't help but vent. I mean how could the same guy that wrote the script for 'The Empire Strikes Back' write this tripe?
This movie was pretty bad, I've managed to forget most all of it since I saw it in theaters. Had I known the guy who wrote Empire wrote this, I could have used that as a red flag, because Star Wars is terrible.
this is honestly one of the worst movies i've ever seen. i walked out of the theater once i saw the alien with a the giant ass head. just couldn't take the shitiness anymore.
