Most of you (those who have already seen The Shining) get the point. This preview used exact scenes and quotes from the movie and yet completely lied about its content. This clip is a satire of Hollywood marketing.
A movie can be made to look like anything if cleverly edited. I've seen several movies based on an interesting preview that turned out to be terrible flicks. Conversely, I've avoided many movies, based on a misleading preview, which turned out to be good DVD rentals later.
