So AeonFlux is the new Charlize flick coming out.
I don't know if this was based on a video game or not, but they also do have a game coming out. Why are they making video games for all movies lately? I don't want or need to play Van Helsing or King Kong, just give me something with a little originality instead of churned out media crap.
Anyone know if AeonFlux is coming from a game or a comic? It does look worth checking out. (The movie that is...)
The movie is based on a cartoon for HBO or something the same guys did this other cartoon Reign which kinda tanked. I don't konw about the movie though charlize does't look tough enough.
It is from MTV. I always thought it was a pretty sweet cartoon(ish) thing. Before I had ever seen anime, this was my first glimnse into stylized animation. http://www.ladigitalphoto.com/AeonFlux/ it's some thing or whatever. I have no idea, didn't care to findout. I think they sell prints, BUT... it's the best place I could find that could give those of you who haven't seen the aeon flux show, a chance to see what the animation was about.
Aeon Flux was friggin' great because most episodes were like old Tom and Jerry cartoons, not laden with a lot of dialogue. Just cool visuals and impossible body types (what the was the waist size on her in the cartoon? 13 maybe? Christ)
Much like 'Narnia', the more and different commercials I see for 'Aeon Flux', the worse it looks like it's gonna be. Dammit.
the MTV show on MTV was called "Liquid Television". Every Friday evening my friends and I would drop acid and watch it at 7 pm. There was a montage of different cartoons/claymation/puppetry/whathaveyou. Aeon Flux was one of my favorites along with The Specialists, Stick Figure Theater, and Winter Steele. Liquid Television is where Beavis and Butthead got their start. Frog baseball, anyone?
Oh yeah.... 'Liquid Television', now I remember. For awhile MTV put it on late Sunday night (either right before or after 'The State').
And there were a couple other episodic cartoons that were cool. The first was 'The Head', which was basically about a guy that woke up one morning with a giant head (and didn't he have a friend that had a lawn mower blade imbedded in his face?). The second (and far more cool) was 'The Maxx'. That cartoon was about as close one got to a graphic novel on TV. I can't remember if the creature was blue or purple though....
