I am remembering a movie from back in the late 60's early 70's Darned if I can remember it's name or who is in it!!!
Set in the desert of Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico regions I believe. It's a serious drama of the weird twists and turns of the 70's type movies...definately not a comedy.
Characters were a woman (Susan Saradon type I think) and a young teen girl. Somehow they have various problems and getting stranded and she is chasing some guy.... and the teen girl is pouty and puffy cheeked and always saying something like "I want to go to Nevada" ...or Reno.. or some town in that region of the country.
I remember two scenes... one with the older woman walking along in a pair of go go boots and i think a demin vest, in a parking lot in the dark.. walking along and singing a song that went "I know where I'm going... and I know who's going with me" as she ambles along. It's kinda a haunting song.
The other scene is kinda strange too.. that pouty younger girl about 12 or 13, puts on some heavy lipstick, and some big googley Jackie Kennedy-ish sunglasses, ties a scarf around her head and somehow drives off in a car from a diner they are kinda stranded at.
