A "5 Cookies" Rating!

Hi!
I've been reading your posts for quite some time now and this is my fisrt time posting. I really enjoy it! I've also read a lot of Todd's reviews and I like how he reviews movies. But it seems to me that it is very hard for him or for anybody to give 5 COOKIES to a movie!
So my question would be what 3 movies you have seen in your lifetime are worthy of a "5 COOKIE" rating?

In my opinion it has to do a lot with how the movie affects me and touches me and how after watching one particular movie any other movie that comes after that is not the same, or up to standard to my 3 Favorite, "5 Cookies" Movie! So I will understand if some of you don't can't give "5 Cookies" to my 3 top choices!!!!

Action
1. The Matrix - After watching this movie, there isn't any action movie that has been able to blow my mind like this one did.

Epic
2. LOTR Fellowship - In my opinion of the 3 movies This was definitely My favorite! All the emotions I went through watching this movie, granted it's probably to slowest of the three, but the whole Gandalf fighting the Balrog and giving up his life for these other individuals and dying but not dying. It was just such a huge epic and it is worthy of 5 Cookies. (I most add that when I watched this movie, there were some very ignorant people at the theater and right after the movie ended some lady in the back row said something like "This is it? What happened? Is this the ending? What happens next? I don't understand!!!", not even this ignorant comment could bring me down from the high I had just received.)

I will have to get back to you with my third choice, as I debating between several movies, but I know I know I can choose one!!!

I don't answer questions when people use more than two exclamation marks at a time.

Todd answered this question about a year ago - and rather astutely, might I add. He'll ever EVER give 5 cookays to a film. 4, 4 1/2 is his limit. Why you ask?

A 5 cookay film has to stand the test of time, 'The Godfather'; 'Dr. Strangelove'; etc. Movies right out of the gate aren't gonna receive the highest marks until a second, third, maybe fourth viewing.

It's kinda like blurting out the 'L' to a chick. Even if you mean it or not, whereya gonna go from there?

5stars(cook-aays,whatever)
i agree on the "stand the test of time" rule.
that would be the element to take a 4/4.5 movie to a 5. the others elements that build to the 4stars is a post/thread of it's own.

here is a list of some the 5stared mov-aays in my head
(in no particular order):
-T2
-TheBreakfastClub
-StarWars I-VI (i'll argue this with anyone! just not right now!)
-Willow
-TheLordoftheRings(not narnia L,W,&W)
-TwinPeakes:FireWalkwithMe (David Lynch's finest freak-out film,not the TVseries)
-KingKong(the original and i'm sure the 2005 version too)

do you have any 5cook-aay mov-aays in your head?

I would also have to agree that it would have to stand the test of time, but there are definitely certain movies that I would consider 5 cookies movie but other people wouldn't see it like that and that is understandable!

My third choice and I thought about this quite a bit, is definitely the Star Wars Saga!!! It was hard because I understand that Episode II is probably one of the worst of the series and Jar Jar Binks is definitely not one of the best characters Lucas could of come up with, but the Saga as a whole is one of the best Stories ever told!!!

Kudos! I am not ashamed to admit that I saw 'Kill Bill. Vol 1' 5 times in as many days in the theater. (I only saw Vol. 2 once in the theaters)
