Would you say it was a comedy or social commentary?  

well, i was thinking more along the lines of social commentary / stoner movie. And I have to admit, it was my first exposure to quasi-punk music with the soundtrack. Title track by Iggy Pop (pre-cruise ship commercial background music)...Black Flag...Circle Jerks...great stuff!
