i agree

December 27 2005, 10:51 PM

i have not seen the movie but i have seen two to many trailers for it all it is is a bunch of liberal paney-waists trying to say that if your a damn homo-fag its ok because we here at paramaount studios say evan those amaricans who work for a living(no hate to todd)also are gay. well if thats true let me quit school and move to florida. the fact is tere just sticking up for fags and trying to convert as many normal people as possible homosexuality. i have not been to see a movie i about 5years because i want to see somthing entertaining not political perswaying. i probibly will not see a movie for a nother 5years due to movies like shiriana or the day after tomarow(wich was a dissapointment).

Even though Mr. Texas is obviously an idiot (or acting like one for the sake of humor) I kinda agree with him. I'm tired of movies with a poilitical agenda. What happened to good James Bond flicks, Rambo (despite Stallone's weak messages towards the end) and Indiana Jones? They were just good clean fun. Now you have to choke down bad CGI or sit through a Liberal recruiting video...

Well, I agree that not every movie needs to be a political comment. I love action movies and spy-flicks, and I get tired of the constant sappy-dramas anyway, but that's no reason for him to get all hot under-the-collar and start spouting a bunch of hate.

Personally, I'd love to get back to the old Bond flicks, or pick up a "Cliffhanger" or two (actually, that movie was terrible, but I love it) something fun and light-hearted, but I also see that there is value in movies like this one, and other political-adgenda movies. I just think there should be more variety in general.

My point was only that he clearly has some issues with gay folks, and maybe he should leave the rest of us out of his hate/anger. :0D

Sean Connery was my favorite Bond (the only Bond in my estimation), who's yours?

the mov-ays

December 29 2005, 12:10 PM

i never liked any of the "Bond" movies. they were new
when i was at my most "impressionable" age, but they never
did anything for me- no entertainment value,no inspiration,
just a bunch a nothin'!
so instead, i'll bring "spiderman" into this. i like the spiderman mov-ays a plenty with all the "CGI to choke on", but watching them never made me want to be a "superhero".

now,i have not seen "brokebackmolehill" nor will i. not because it's a "homosexual type" of mov-ay, but because it's a "sappy-drama".and if "hooywood" thinks they can produce mov-ays that inspire homosex- well, that is called "ThePornIndustry".
the two are kept seperate for "good reason", like "church and state"! not everyone quotes "jerry"-
'not that there is anything wrong with that'

Right point, wrong way to address it.

December 29 2005, 1:50 PM

I have to agree with Mr Texas, I just dont agree with how he said it. Take today for example. For the first time in like 8 months my wife and I have a babysitter for tonight. We have about 4 multiplex mo-vay theaters around our area so in total theres about 30-35 movies showing at any time withen 20 minutes of our house. Well, after searching all the movies playing right now we decided not to go see a movie at all. There are not good movies made anymore. I dont want to go see about how evil oil companys are, I dont want a watered down sappy romantic comedy thats been done about a million times, I dont want to watch 2 cowboys make out, etc, etc. And Kong is just to long when your paying your babysitter by the hour. I do miss the fun, "innocent" movies of yesterdays long ago. When Hollywood wasnt so liberal and out of touch with what the common man, Mr Texas or Mr Pennsylvania want to see.

Fein, I wasn't disagreeing with you that guy is an idiot. After I posted that I wondered if there are movies like the one's I listed made today, and if they are just discounted by me as cheap attempts to make money by hollywood... I guess the typical action movie now adays has tricked out cars and rappers shooting at each other, instead of suave english men banging every attractive woman in sight.

Does being an idiot mean scoring 100's on every state test
all the way until collage? Mr pennsalvania, don't think so, but thanks for backing up my opinions. And to the dude who said I should watch a liberal recruting tape, move away from Florida, play a sport, and try ranching,
and while your at it inlist in the army.

Jesus... Mr. Texas here are some tips about posting on the internet:

1. Of course spell check or at least be good enough not to misspell every other word you write.

2. Back up your points with any kind of examples, facts, Old Sayings anything to make what you are saying seem like it has more substance other then, for all we know, what could be a Cracked out mental patient on the other end.

3. Never threaten to beat someone up... for christ sake you about zippy chance of meeting the person in question, and you have an even less chance of recognizing him or her if you did. Plus just because you call yourself Mr. Texas doesn't mean you are Jean Claude Van Dam, and dish out Van Damage to anything on two legs.

Don't give too much credence to the Golden Globes.

First, they sould have 86ed the Best Musical/Comedy award years ago (I am sure that was some holdover from the 50s and 60s, when musicals were hip).

Second, remember it's a foreign press junket award show - so these are flicks that Britain and France get all ooky over.

As far as the barometer goes for how the Golden Globes predict the Oscars - I won't lie, 9 times outta 10 it's pretty on the mark. However, in the last few years the Best Picture/Best Director has not gone hand in hand.

So, come February, it'll come down to George and Ang for the director ('Roughrider Mesa' is a pretty good lock for Best Picture, though - sorry).

Does it deserve to win? No. Why? 1981, that's why. 'Chariots of Fire' winning over 'Raiders of the Lost Ark'?!? C'mon!
