I'm usually not judgemental about movies based on their trailers but, I gotta say, Lady in the Water is about the stupidest trailer I've ever seen.
It REALLY makes me not want to see it. If you watch it without the weird background music, watta ya got? A depressed janitor doing his rounds?

I mean, isn't the WHOLE POINT of the trailer to get you excited about the movie???? I would love to be convinced that this movie is worth the $12 to see. Please- Convince me.

I'm not sure if it was from 'The Simpsons' or 'Family Guy', but one of the shows made a reference to his movies with a character saything something like, "... this situation is getting worse by the day, just like Shyamalan's increasingly disappointing films."

This new flick of his will fail miserably. After 'The Village' everyone now knows he just makes Twilight Zone/Outer Limit episodes into 2 hour films. Who's gonna pay money to see a f*@king 'bedtime story'? Why would they?

Moreover, the chick in it (Ron Howard's kid?) I absolutely hate. Her acting is merely looking doe-eyed into the camera, and when I caught her on talk shows she comes across a unbelievably snooty and quasi-aristocratic. You're the daughter of Opie sweetie, get over yourself.

Ugh...when you mentioned "The Village" it all came back to me in an awful, mind numbing flashback. I guess I don't need convincing after all. Unless Todd gives a vigorous two thumbs up on this, I guess I'll pass....
Thanks!
