Jennifer,
i'm sorry for what the "FRIENDS" show has done to you, but
it's like you don't even try to shake it.
the word FRIENDS is in the title and my date was trying to explain
how 'some of your recent-past roles are of women whoTHE THEATER SOUND
STARTS AND it sounds as if she is talking about one of the girls on
friends. Gah!
all-in-all not a bad film...a little slow and i did laugh a time or two, way too character-actorish but,
i'd SO put Rachel in a maids costume and pay her $65 to watch her clean my bathtub!
and was that CGI\special-makeup-effects\lighting on the rest of the
main cast? cause i didn't know they were that old..seriously
quite simple Marc, i read a review that claimed it was funny.
a raining saturday afternoon, i had already seen 'LuckyNumberSleven'
2times and there was nothing else showing that i wanted to see.
it wasn't as funny as they said it was, it was more so an
"uncomfortable drama". i.e.- gay guys that don't realize they are gay
and ageing women. stuff that is funny but you should laugh at it.
Yep! pretty much every episode of friends(ba-boomp-teizh).
So how was Slevin? You say it twice so I could assume it's good, but you also said there was nothing else to see, so it could have been only sorta good but you were out with friends and got roped in on the promise of free beer afterwards.
I loved 'Sleven', and that's saying a lot since I loathe Josh Harnett, and Lucy Liu. It's very much like a good Guy Ritchie film. It's funny, violent, clever (but not too clever), and Morgan Freeman and Ben Kingsley are GREAT as opposing mob bosses. One of the better flicks I've seen this year (I said the same thing about 'Running Scared' but apparently I was literally the only person that saw it in the theater).
now marc, you weren't the only one to see 'RunningScared'.
much like sleven(but in a differant way)it rocked.
what caught my interest in sleven was the storyline. every detail
was exposed in a displaced timelaspe. every detail except one
(i'd tell but i don't wanna spoiler it for you) was right on.
they called it aKansasCityShuffle.
BruceWillis,JoshHarrnet,LucyLiu, TheBoss and TheRabbi(with much
credit to the mob goons and the film effects, along with the apartment
buildings' wallpaper) were all very entertaining in this one, which
is why i saw it twice(long live the big screen).
