See "The Prestige"! Not sure what movies about magicians are coming out all in the same year. I wrote a positive review a while back for "The Illusionist". I also liked this one but it was very dark where TI aspired towards the better parts of human nature. Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale are both really very good in this. Someone is going to get nominated for something...
It's also a mind F*ck. I saw it Saturday and I"m still brooding over it.
I concur, try and see 'The Prestige'. C'mon Dude! 'Memento', 'Batman Begins'? It's a no brainer! And what are your alternatives? A third 'Santa Clause' movie? Or a movie where Shawnee Smith *isn't* looking hot? Pass on both. See The Bale. Witness The Jackman. And you can ogle Miss Scarlett if you want, I think she has a pinchy face.
Saw III was coolio in my opinion. Way much better than the first two. Especially the second one. It also ties up the loose ends of the movies fantastically.
There are a handful of GREAT movies out right now: "The Prestige", "Babel" and "The Last King of Scotland" Any of which would make for a good theatre going experience.
