I wanted to walk out of this movie on several occasions. I only stuck it out because I was with a developmentally delayed person who seemed to be enjoying it. It would have been half good if they would have done away with the singing of their dialogue. I did not know they sang the dialogue going in, otherwise we would have seen something else. There also was not much as far as character building, they just kinda introduced each person, and you were supposed to know what they were all about right away or something. I really only enjoyed eddie murphys character, and the actually singing on stage in front of the crowds of people was pretty good. I didn't see what all the hubbub was all about though.
