At World's End is MUCH better than number 2. That said, number 2 sucked donkey balls, so I don't know how much of a rave review that it.
If I wasn't previously prepared for the mammoth running time (167 mins), I probably would have disliked this one more than I did. However, since I was knew going in, it didn't bother me nearly as much.
It's okay. Too much story, too many characters, some coolio effects (really), a good helping of Geoffrey Rush, some oversampling of Depp (too much of a good thing = a bad thing), and an overdrawn finale.
I was satisfied with the ending, though.
