OK - ordinarily, I would do this on my own, but I have tried and tried, and come up with bubkus. So... I need your help folks, to track it down. I'll give you as much information as I can.
It's a horror/slasher film made in the mid-to-late 1970s that is/was a modern take on the Jekyll & Hyde formula. Basically, some nerdy high school kid (that inevitably gets picked on and beat up) develops a secret potion in the lab late at night that turns him (for short periods of time) into a hulking, homocidal maniac. I thought the title was called 'The Killing Brain', but Imdb was no help whatsoever - dammit.
Remember that scene in 'Thanksgiving', that 'Grindhouse' faux-trailer from Eli Roth where the cheerleader gets her business impaled while on a trampoline? There is an EXTREMELY similar scene in the film I am searching for, where the homocidal nerdy kid places spikes inside of a pole vault mattress pit - with icky consequences.
OK - so that's your mission. If you know what the Hell I am talking about, let me know!
Why on Earth would you ever want to watch the movie again...it sounds really really disgusting and unneccecary..........why did film makers even make these movies. I could probably find it though If I looked hard enough but I don't want too.......
YOU can try the Internet movie Critic......... this person can find almost anything,
Marc, before you give yourself a migraine with the previously listed database,
also try asking in the film section at allexperts.com. I've had a lot of help
there, esp. with horror & sci-fi movies.
