Re: Has anyone managed to see Sunshine and/or Rescue Dawn?

Just watched a torrent of Sunshine and I have to say tOdd was super generous in his review.
It didn't look as cool as I was expecting. Too much hype I think but it looked like a lot of other space movies I have seen. Except maybe the view of the sun. I didn't see what the big deal was with the way it looked.
A lot of it just didn't make any sense. It was a mess. It took me a while to figure out what was happening at the end. I didn't really know where they were at first.

First off Bump bump bump....
Second on the agenda is....
Just got finished watching this movie from a crappy hand held version of TV links and I liked it despite not having those magnificent shots people talk about. The movie's concept has been done before several times, however it didn't seem to bother me that much since the movie, I think, was pretty well done. The most interesting character was the dude from the fantastic four (don't know his name) I liked how he walked the line of being a douchebag but not alienating the viewer. All in all I'd say it was a 7.5 out of 10 and worth the buy if you have a big HD tv and are mildly into space/sci fi movies.

Regarding Inland Empire. Cannot recommend. The first hour is comprehensible, after that I don't know what the fuck happened during the next two hours. The movie left me feeling all sorta dirty and gross, but because, like I said, I don't know what the fuck was actually happening, I can't really attach that dirty, gross feeling to anything solid.

You want weird? You want gross? You want disturbing?
I came across this a couple weeks ago - I won't lie to you, it's given me nightmares. (If you want the full effect, watch it very late, with the volume up, in a dark room - enjoy!)
