I saw the previews and NIXED it as sap-pappy crap...

and ended up seeing this with my girlfriend...because I thought it might be a good "date' movie

it was pretty good... like a sleeper... not too chickie ... and a memorable/funny "dance scene" in a RI bar ... friggen classic!

Does anyone know what you call this? A comedy, Drama, Comudrama? ...

take it for what its worth... Gotta be in the right mood for this...like a "I'm bored and wanna see a movie but nothing sounds good" mood.

I think the "term" you're looking for is a "mutual feel good date movie". It was sold horribly to the public. I saw it a few weeks ago, and thought it wasn't that bad. Not great, but it left me feeling good after I watched it.

Basically, sounds like we agree...

I stay a little reserved in that it isn't most board peeps "cup-oh-tea"...

but hey... after this movie, I found myself telling the gf, "Hey,that wasn't half bad"

"Sideways" was like that too...

So it's a thumbs up.

Grab a freebs to watch it if you can folks. 10 bucks to see it? Maybe. If you want to walk away from it feeling good about, you know, stuff.
