I was never a big fan of the original show but I don't know there's some bubblegum feel mixed with an actual stylistic fingerprint in there that I'm kinda digging.
Note the time of the 'Speed Racer' post (I do believe I had a few cold ones when I wrote that). And don't misunderstand, I said it 'looks' cool - that doesn't necessarily mean I am going to see of it. In fact, I am pretty sure I won't see of it. Why? Because I'm not 12 (Note: The same argument can be used to explain of why I had no desire to see 'Transformers')
As for Indiana Jones. Yes, I read similar things regarding how the film finally came together. And I agree, Spielberg can do no wrong - he hasn't made a dud in years. HOWEVER, the absolute disappointment and suckiness of Lucas will ALWAYS trump Speilberg's talent (unfortunately)
Hell, I would watch Harrison Ford read the phone book if Spielberg was behind the camera - but with Lucas involved, I dunno... I just have a bad feeling (I mean, c'mon, even the title sounds ridiculous).
Oh, and ad for other flicks that come out recently? My 2 cents.
Fred Claus - Surprisingly unfunny.
American Gangster - American Dope Dealer is more like it. Surprisingly boring.
30 Days Of Night - Exactly what I thought it would be - and it was pretty good.
Saw IV - Exactly what I thought it would be - and it was pretty bad.
