Ha well i gotta say if I could vote (I'm a convicted felon) I'd vote for Ron Paul....
I'm not really a convicted felon... I just tell people that so they don't try and pressure me with all their pins and bumper stickers... but I still kinda like Ron Paul, due to his distinct unpresidential manor and the fact that the media and the powers at be seemed dead set on ruining him.
I like Kevin Costner... now. Poor 'ol Kev knows full well the rafters ain't gonna be packed to see his flicks anymore. So I respect kinda cool stuff like 'Mr. Brooks' (which was pretty good). Then I read about drivel like this:
1) Kevin Costner was almost getting his career back on track.
2) Because it's a Disney film, kids are gonna flock to see this (maybe) - and I'm sure all you know by know, ordinary voters DO NOT choose the President ! (State delegates do) But now, kids will think otherwise, and become even more stupid.
Fictional political movies can be slightly entertaining, but for the most part are forgotten within a year or two. Especially cute crap like this, and First Kid, and My Fellow Americans.
Remember how Wag the Dog and Primary Colors were such a huge deal when they came out? How long's it been since anybody watched those? (Okay, I'm gonna give Primary Colors a semi-break since it was essentially a fictionalized version of the Clintons and the impersonations were sort of amusing - but still) Wag the Dog, on the other hand, gets no breaks. Great in 1998 - who cares now.
I'm here in SC. I'm actually thinking about going out and voting for Obama on Saturday since he and Hillary are actually running neck and neck down here. I've never voted in a primary but the thought of 4 years of Hillary might get me off my ass. I don't really "back" anybody, at least not this time around, but rather go for the person who'll be the least annoying, and do the least damage. Politicians are all guilty until proven innocent, and even then they're guilty anyway.
Hillary's just too divisive for Republicans and they're not going to let her do shit if she gets in.
