Interesting idea.  What happened to Spock's ears in 1973 I wonder?  That would create an interesting back story I think.

I remember that in an episode when they had to beam to earth circa 1930 or 1945 or whatever Kirk was forced to fabricate some story to explain away the ears.  And poor ol' Spock was forced to wear a toque for most of the episode.  As I recall he told people that Spock was Chinese and had fallen into a rice harvester or something along those lines.

Everything in the pilot looked legit except the excerpts of the other crew members.  Those looked like they were taken directly from Star Trek the motion picture in 1979.  In 1973 I don't think De Forrest Kelley or James Doohan actually looked that old.

Yeah... that would-be-pilot almost trumps my other favorite from that era:

"Mmmmm... Mandom!"

Obviously this was NEVER a pilot. It's a cute assemblage of Shatner clips and Nimoy (mostly from "Mission Impossible") clips.

But then, I'm probably the last to realise this. It took me 10 seconds.

Oh, '.' - you are so learned, and such a buzzkill. You're like the Debbie Downer of this Board.

Oh little '.' - Actually , one of two things happen to the douchebags that troll around this Board.

1. First, basically one gets ignored - and after awhile, the douchebag gets bored and just goes away. However...

2. If an annoying troll persists, then the Board owner (namely, Todd) will block and/or ban one altogether.

So '.' - if you feel that the 'regulars' here are a little too pedestrian for you, I suggest you test your wits on the Daily Fact Board, because I guarantee you will be in over your head.

Shatner is Canadian

That wasn't a real pilot?  I know a man who would beg to differ with you MR. MARC . .. or shall I say PUNK!!!

1970s . . . yes Spock would just grow his hair over his ears. Totally makes sense.  That way no one would ever suspect he was an alien.  But then, what if he got shot while doing his crime fighting eh?  Green blood?  How would they explain that one away?

Must be more of your "sarcasm." I thrive on that board as you allow me to thrive here
