Wouldn't it be nice to see a movie based on the novel "War Of The Worlds?" Oh, I've seen a few movies that use the title but none have ever told the story. Sadly, the closest (but not cigar-earning) version was broadcast on radio nearly 70 years ago. As of yet, not one creative team has ever competently adapted Wells' book.

I beg to differ.

Also, in the original pencil drawings for the manuscript, the alien tripods looked like cylindrical water towers with cone-shaped tops. They were anti-scary.

Houston is a terrible, terrible city.

Marney, wow.
I thought I was the only one left who knew about that Jeff Wayne WOTW album. It's one of my all time favorites.

The chances of anything coming from Mars were a million to one they said!

I was growing up in British military quarters in Germany during the '70s. I was surrounded by Queen, Bowie, Rod Stewart, and The Bay City Rollers. This thing managerd to work it's way in there. We had it on an 8-track for listening in the Superbeetle.

Queen, Bowie, Stewart, and Bay City? Must've been a pretty cramped quarter. Could've squished a booger of of Washington's nose.

Kidding Beardo/Marney?
