Hancock

Saw this at work today. Don't agree with Todd but I think most people will. Pretty much what you see in the trailers takes places in the first 40 minutes or so of the movie, everything beyond that is after that "twist" you probably keep hearing about that many find ruins the movie. I didn't find it very outrageous or out of place. I liked this flick pretty well over all.

Oh and Todd, yea, Will and his formula may be annoying as shit. He says its what it takes to make a hit movie. And like it or not, this thing is going to make a ton of cash. So I don't really think his math needs to be checked.

I'm still looking forward to seeing this movie although Smith has made some real stinkers as of late.

The whole "Super Hero, but doesn't care to be" is a nice spin on the slew of super hero movies we've been bombarded with lately.

And yes, it will make loads of money.

meh looks like it'll suck but I don't see how Todd could say Jason Bateman is overstaying his rewelcome. He's been in what? 4 movies since Arrested Development ended? come on Todd. ( AD is incredible by the way, and I know Todd thinks thats whatevery too)

Not too bad

Given the horrible reviews of this movie, I expected the worst. All in all, this movie wasn't completely horrible. I do think the visual effects were pretty weak, but it was entertaining overall.

is it just me or is Will Smith's only facial expression as of late is looking like he just sucked on a lemon?

He did a lot of that in I am legend too; that look like he's about to apply some sort of extremely painful lipstick.

Also Jason Bateman looks and acts like a twat, why is he being "revisited" lately?

Just watched it, and you know what? It wasn't bad. It didn't meet my expectations, but altogether, a decent flick.

The plot twist in the middle was un-expected, but added to the story.

What I expected: A bum super hero who shapes up and flies right. Nothing more. The plot changed, the story went deeper, the action was good enough, the sub-plot added interest.

Good.

Finally saw Hancock

January 2 2009, 11:35 AM

Had it saved from DVD and finally got to watch it last night. I thought it was much better than the reviews I've seen, but it could have been so much better. The "twists" were ok but really left more explaining which wasn't answered well at all. I'll just wait until they redo it in 5 years and maybe they'll get it right.
