Did anyone really 'love' this show?

I remember watching it alot as a kid but I always thought it was half-confusing/half-scary and not a fave...

And is the movay gonna flop?

On a kinda side note I watched the bear grills (sp) will ferrell man vs wild last night and I gotta say it was pretty funny. If you have a chance to see it I'd recommend it.

but to be on topic not really a fan of the show and it kinda sucks to take two really funny guys and put them in a movie like this, such a waste of potential (I think, haven't seen the movie yet of course)

I don't think it looks good, and I never watched the show. But big budget family comedy starring Will Farrell has a pretty low chance of failure.

I really liked the show when I was 8 years old.

I also remember it quite fondly. It was one of those shows that I always wanted to watch, but I think it came on kinda late on Saturday mornings - 10 or 11AM - and my Mom had usually shoed us out of the house and outdoors by then.

Same way back memories as this Saturday morning old school stuff brings. Anybody remember "In the News"?

Yeah I think so... I was actually watching some of the intros on youtube as I was looking up "in the news" and even the intros differ from year to year with something about the dad getting lost from Land of the Lost and something, something, something....

I wouldn't call 20 million in a weekend a "super hard" flop, but it didn't do as well as expected either. I'd have to see their production budget.

Land of the Lost

Went to a matinee of this movie. Made me laugh out loud at times, and never left me bored. Was this movie supposed to stimulate my brain and make me think NO. Make me laugh yes, and laugh I did. Stupid, corny, dumb comedy. It did not try to hard to be anything more than it was.

Movie flopped

I know why this movie flopped. SCFI was playing an all day marathon of the original TV series. I tried to watch it, wow it sucked.

I'd say it tanked because it's based on a TV show no one really remembers fondly, if they remember it at all. And if you are one of the few who actually do, you're probably too old to care.

Thanks for the In the News clip Smirk.  I remember those shorts from T.V. in the late 70s.  I liked Land of the Lost and Croft Superstars back in the day.

Not Worth Seeing

Looks like crap. I wouldn't waste my money seeing this picture. This film would be better translated into an animated feature.
