Awesome. A must see googogog. Someone in Hollywood needs to figure out how this absolute technical stunner only cost 30 million bucks but something like GI Joe costs 175.
it was rather amazing. and the CD was implemented SO well! there was tons of it too. i loved the movie. even more so than star trek, and i thought that couldn't be beat.

I respectfully disagree that this was a good movie.
This movie SUCKED MONKEY BALLS.... it was a warm steaming pooh on a dew ladened lawn... it was the brown swirl in the toilet.... it was the fart that loitters in the office hallway....
By the middle of the movie I wanted them the cut his(Wikus's) phucking arm off. The lead character who played the dipstick son in law.... became the one I was rooting for?
Christopher (Alien) and the dipstick (Wikus) had more lives than a friggen feline. How many times did I see a gun to the head of either one of these characters and not a single trigger pull...
Oh yeah.... SHAKEY CAM---- one question? Why? it was done in a documentary style.... but the film itself didn't justify it... who the hell was filming during those --non tv interviews?---

The only thing good about the movie was CGI. I dam near demanded my money back because the HYPE didn't justify this crap movie....
I LOVED THE GLADITOR SOUNDTRACK dubbed over with this alien flick.... one of the many cliches ...

I can usually roll with with most peeps and OT on reviews with movie (EXCEPT DARK KNIGHT) ... but this movie phucking sucked.... DVD rental at best.... the acting sucked, the story sucked, the soundtrack sucked, and the shakey cam logic sucked..... don't wasted more than 4 bucks on this crappy movie...
Like tOdd said, it's not a deep movie but it entertained me. I would recommend it for an evening's lite entertainment. I thought the aliens looked cool not fake and I disagree with this,"Sure, I could have done without the little kid alien. Sure, it lacked in bad guys to hate on a deeper level" The alien kid was OK but he had a small role and I wanted the MMU dude at the end to die painfully along with the main character's wife.
For anyone who disliked or hated this movie you have no morals in life and deserve to die. The action was awesome, the acting WAS awesome, THIS MOVIE WAS AWESOME! And for people that wanted the aliens to be all evil and stuff the fucking story explains it! They were outcasts from their own planet and therefore had no place to go. They, in a non racist way as possible, represented the black people in africa during the time when Neil, the director, grew up. They were made to ACT human cause living there for 28 years, living in HUMAN enviroments, made them act that way. Sharlto Coplay, aka Wikus, did an outstanding job, and guess what? He improvised the whole damn movie! Thats true skill! I would keep ranting but i see no reason cause people won't listen anyway. So... good day
This movie SUCKED MONKEY BALLS. Absolutely horrible. Could have been so much more, left me sorely disappointed. The same story was told so much better in Crash and Babel. Stupid piece of donkey dung, waste of my money.
I didn't mind this movie while I was watching it but it seemed like watching one episode of a show that has been on for a while and you catch the 4th episode in season two.
It didn't start anywhere. It didn't go anywhere.
