Sorry if this is a repeat. Couldn't find another thread...

What do you guys think of this movie? I remember reading about it when it happened.

A mountain climber becomes trapped under a boulder while canyoneering alone near Moab, Utah and resorts to desperate measures in order to survive.

Not sure if this story makes me want to see it more...or less

Danny Boyle's new movie 127 Hours is leaving fans feeling faint.

Three viewers at a special Toronto International Film Festival screening collapsed after watching the gory film.

The Slumdog Millionaire director debuted his latest film - starring James Franco as mountaineer Aron Ralston, who was forced to saw off his lower right arm after a boulder fell onto him while he was climbing in Utah in 2003 - at the festival on Saturday.

And the explicit scene which shows Franco hacking at his trapped arm before snipping the tendons with pliers was so shocking, several film fans fainted at another preview the following evening.

A critic for movie website TheWrap.com says, "Make no mistake, the scenes of Aron Ralston taking off his own arm to free himself after a fall are among the most realistic of graphic gore ever put on film, and not for the faint of heart. You could clearly see people in shock, struggling to stay in their seats, working to get past the intensity of what was going on in front of them. The sequence is never gratuitous, just very realistic... These were clearly audience members who could not take it."

Gotta love the Danny Boyle. 28 Days Later and Slumdog? I'll see anything he makes from now on...

I'm seeing it, but I'm not expecting a whole lot. I'm not a huge Danny Boyle fan outside of Slumdog. Didn't like 28 Days Later. Couldn't even finish watching Trainspotting. Sunshine was okay until that atrocious third act.

But the big problem is, there is nothing to this story that we don't know that I can imagine. I don't see what can be done with it between the time he gets pinned and cuts part of his arm off. Are we just going to watch Franco scream in pain pinned between a bolder and a wall the entire time?

I dunno. I like Franco and I know Boyle is capable of making a good movie, so here's hoping.
