With a generic title like this its hard to go wrong.
Not bad, not great. Couple of jump scares got me, and since the entire movie is comprised of jump scares sewn together one on top of another, one or two are bound to work.
Haunted house movies are a tough proposition, the old ones can be good, and then they turned into CGI disasters like "The Haunting" - and now handheld Paranormal Activities which only go so far. This one goes old school with an actual scary house, decent art direction, and lots of fog. I liked the moodiness of the whole the thing and could recommend it based on that since rarely does anybody go in this direction anymore.
As far as Harry Potter? He was serviceable here. If I were his agent, I'd recommend he do a couple of independent films, and show off his acting chops as a drug addict or wife beater or something. This was a good post-Potter jumping off point - possibly because it is sorta forgettable.

Finally saw this one today. I read the book a few months ago and loved the story and was looking forward to this movie.
As I was watching it, the three biggest things that came to mind for me was...
1) They totally nailed the scenery and the general atmosphere of the story. It matched pretty much perfectly with how things were described in the book and because I liked the book so much this made the movie a win for me regardless of anything else.
But having said that...
2) I hate jump scares and definitely could have done without them here. But I guess that's the thing these days, so whatever.
3) Didn't like all the storyline changes from the book (omissions, changes, and MANY additions).
Overall it was definitely fun and and very creepy at times and I'm sure I'll watch it again, but can't really say I liked it as much as I was hoping I would.
