Stone is back to greatness. Pure violent pulp trash with no agenda and I loved it. Watching disgusted people walk out in the first 30 minutes just made it even better. Enjoyed nearly everything about it.

Good to hear this! Looked sort of U-Turn-ey which I always thought was criminally under-rated.

2nd this movie as a good watch. Benidicio Del Toro is absolutely, wonderfully, disgusting and, at moments, hilarious. Salma Hayek is Hot. Travolta actually hits just the right weasely tones with his character.n His acting in this actually overshadowed his recent problems in my mind, which are pretty darn hard to overshadow, so props to him.

I actually would have welcomed some "agenda" in this as I find the cartels horrifying yet fascinating.
