A Huge Thank you again to Ami and Gwen for pulling off a lovely Reunion.
All that hard work....Incredible.

Thanks from both Ron and I. We had such a great time seeing folks.

I still think I only recognized about 25% of our Graduating class. 20 years is such a long time. We really should post "Then and Now" pics somewhere. LOL

Thanks again so much and God bless!

Hi! My Mom just recently moved back to Rolla, and she was wondering if I was planning on attending the 20 year reunion next Summer. Does anyone have potential dates or anything for it? I live in Washington State now, so I'm going to have to do some planning to make it happen.....Any info would be great. Hope everyone is happy and healthy! Lara

Hi everyone! I'm still around although I haven't visited the message board since last October. Things are going fine for me. Still teaching music, k-12 (band) and really enjoying it. The k-2 is actually my favorite part. For those of you who have little kids...don't let them become 6th graders!

Long Time

by

Hi Everyone - Not sure if any of you remember me (David Ardayfio) but I went to school with quite a number of you ((based on the messages I see posted) from 1981-1985. If my family remained in Rolla, I would be a 1989 Rolla High graduate. Anyway, I am now in Washington, DC with my wife, Nyaneba and two children Imani and Micah. If possible, I hope to make it to the 20th reunion. My contact is dardayfi@lehman.com.

Just a quick word

by

Hey out there to all our fellow 89-ers.

Hoping life is treating all of you well and that you're finding your bliss. Ron and I are still in Rolla with our kiddos,We've got four total and the oldest is 16.

It took almost a year of badgering but I finally got Ron to agree to put up a "Myspace" I KNOW! Unbelievable huh? But it's true. So we both have myspace's now. Also, being the incredible computer geek that I am, I've become a videoblogger. As a Matter of fact, I should be uploading a video right now for vlogging week 2008 but I wanted to just drop a note by the site to say a fond hello from both of us.

June is our 17th wedding anniversary 18 years together. We're still disgustingly in love LOL and not a bit ashamed to admit it. Ron looks like a Hell's Angel at the moment: Full Beard and shoulder length hair, but he keeps the beard off his cheeks so I can still see his adorable dimples. Guess that's as much of a compromise as I'm gonna get since he's so attached to the beard.

Please feel free to find us on myspace or email us if you'd like to keep in touch. We'd love to hear what everyone is up to in their own lives.

Best and God Bless,

Lisa and Ron

PS: TO ANYONE LOCAL WHO LIKES BLUEGRASS: There's a really good bluegrass band playing at Tater Patch This Friday/Saturday. If you enjoy that kind of music, make sure to stop in and enjoy them.

Alright folks, from several personal messages, I know that some of you secretly view this site but never post a comment, lets get with it, 20 years will be here before we know it. We need to begin the finding those brave young souls who ventured out of Rolla and are needing to be found. (those of you who choose to remain lost.... have fun with that, let me know how it is working for you) We are, for the most part, adults, aren't any of you curious as to what our classmates are up to, who had the ugly children, who has had 18 bad relationships, and who is no longer the same gender as in 1989? If you are out there, speak up!

IT'S ANOTHER GIRL

by

Hi folks,

For anyone tuning in...

Ron and I had the Baby on December 10, at 5:42 a.m. It's a girl, She weighed: 7lb. 2 oz. and was 18 inches long.

We named her: Alia Marylyn

Alia is Choctaw (Ron's ancestors)
Meaning: Youngest

She was born with flaming red hair unlike her sisters and brother who were all light blond, so I can only assume the poor dear will end up looking like her Irish Mother... Sigh so much for a dark haired hazel eyed child...Alia was my last opportunity. LOL

Light,
Lisa and Tribe

weedend before Thanksgiving

by

Hello who ever is reading this...the weekend before Thanksgiving, Saturday November 20th, to be exact, my hard rock blues band PBSOD-The Artist Formally known as Horehound, will be playing at Bonydaddy's (two doors down from Jimmy's) in Rolla. Also, Rolla's own Slick Kitty, (with Adam Arendt on bass), will be there too. Please come out and see these two fabulous bands that contain RHS Alumni. After sets by these bands the proceedings will turn into a "jam," which will feature other RHS legends such as Chris Southern...
p.s. Blues You Can Use fans should note that Slick Kitty's drummer is actually the guitar player, Russell, from BYCU!

Creepie... That's one way to put it.

by

Lex,
YEAH!! Apparantly the kids got together and had another conference (They do that a lot) and decided it's not fair that mommy and daddy get no fun at all, so their allowing us to kick up our heels a little after all. Aren't they just soooo sweet? *Smirk*.
Creepie isn't what I was thinking *Chuckle* I was thinking more like... Pathetic, having no life, Too much time on our hands (or not enough and just not knowing how the heck to relax?) *LOL* Ah well, Let's stick with creepie, I'm depressing myself.

Lisa

by Marcy

Thanks for letting me know, I'm glad to see everyone is happy and has kiddies, mine is 9 and the soon-to-be stepson is 14. I still however live in the dark ages, I come to the library to get on line and see if anyone is sending me messages, so I do believe I'm investing in a computer so I can keep up with all rowdy pals (he,he) I feel like I'm passing notes in class, kinda nostalgic. but anyway I have to run, gotta go to work, but I'll be back after work to see if there's anything new.

Live from New York!

by

Hey everyone! I've been reading the messages for a couple days now and, feeling like a voyeur, I thought it was time I posted a message. I am living in Manhatten, The Big Apple, with my husband and two Weimaraners, Abby and Eli. We live on the Upper West Side, 73rd and Columbus, 1 block west of Central Park. I am working as a personal trainer at Equinox, as well as training private clients in their homes, (which is where you can make the big bucks). Brief 10 year history, graduated from UMC, studied in Oahu, Hawaii for a year, did my internship in St. Thomas, USVI, moved to Florida, moved to New York City, moved to Connecticut and now back to New York. I've been married for 2 years now, (met him on a blind date!), but unfortunately, John will not be able to make it to the reunion. He is a pilot for United and will start 767 school in Colorado on the 9th. So, I will be all by my little ol' lonesome. Trying to get in touch with Pam Wiley, but she moves around about as much as I do. Does anyone know where she is now? Looking forward to catching up with everyone!

Hi Nina

by

Hi, Nina. Glad to hear that you are well. Sounds like you've had an exciting 10 years. We still haven't gotten out of Columbia, MO. There is a possibility of a move in the very near future though. Haven't seen hide nor hair of Pam in 10 years. I hope to see her at the reunion though and hope to see you, too!

Late to the party

by

Like this is a big shock. I think I was late to just about everything in High School, so why should this be any different?

I just did a quick run down the message list. Wow. 10 years is a long time.

Well, don't know who is listening, but I've been married for seven years now, have a devilish little 1 1/2 year old daughter and am living in St. Louis. You can see really old pictures of my daughter at http://www.geeks.com/~sedwards. More family pictures will be going up as soon as I get my scanner hooked back up.

I'm really looking forward to seeing y'all next week. Should be a blast.

-Shawn

If anyone knows how to get in touch with Scott, please let me know. The last Scott sighting that I know of was in Columbia sometime in 1997, but I haven't seen him for probably 8 years. Let me know...........

Whereabouts of Scott Ayres

by

Hey Kenny this is Kenny. Scott is still in Columbia. I used to see him about every other week or so. I can probably still get in touch with him. I told him he was on the reunion list of people that couldn't be found and he said he was going to respond and be at the reunion. I haven't seen him in about a month, so I don't know what his plans are now. When I talk to him next I'll tell him to contact you. If there is any info I need to give him to contact you just email me and let me know.
