my 5 year old dachshund just received his annual vaccination for distemper etc. no lepto. He also got a rabies shot. This was the first time he has gotten both shots the same visit. shortly after he became somewhat listless tho his color was fine. a couple of hours later he had a raging case of hives. He had a similar reaction after his first "grownup" shots but the mix included lepto and that was tagged as the suspect. He got rabies at the same time at that visit also. he has had reaction-free vaccinations since until the most recent. My question: is there any way to determine or even "guess at" the culprit? I am inclined at this point to forgo all future vaccinations except rabies. Has there ever been any instance of rabies and other vaccines together causing such a reaction? Thanks
