Response to Must find Cause

she has been inside all her life so heartworm would be out of the question. She recently had radioiodine treatment for hyperthyroid ( 3 months ago) and she has been on antibiotics, because prior to the radioiodine treatment when tons of blood work, urinalysis and x rays were needed for the workup she has a slighly high white count in the urine.
We took her to a specialist for an ultrasound and he was unable to find anything that should have caused this. She does have some heart disease but he said it is not enough to indicate all this. Supposedly the radioiodine treatment has no side effects and they are not thinking that would have been involved. The cytology report on the fluid indicated NO cancer. She has been tapped twice and will be tapped again next week. We have had all the possible diagnostics done and this is apparantly one of those mystery cases.
They are saying that combined with what is being done and the meds she is on now that a low fat diet will reduce the chyle but she is too light to take any weight loss so we need to find protein replacements that do not contain the kind of fat that goes through the lymph system. There is a product that is made by abbott labs for children that have chylothorax but we cant find one for animals or a dosage that would be compatible..
