Response to looking for Natural stress relief for whelping bitch that wont affect puppies

Julie,
if you know of a homoeopath that treat animals in your area then certainly phone them for a consultation. They will be able to help.
Also there are Bach Flowers Rescue Remedy that you can use for animals too.
If you are think that she is reluctant to push as tired and poor stamina, and poor tolerance to pain, I would think of trying a magnetic collar for the dog. These are not just a natural anti-inflammatory for arthritis and dysplasia, etc- from my experience they help muscle tone by improving tissue nutrition through enhaced circulation, and help remove byproducts from tissue exertion/stress. And the uterus is surely under stress at birth! Have a look at website www.hotspot.co.nz
Also Raspberry leaf capsules from a holistic vet might be beneficial too as they too help prepare the uterus for birth.

Regards,
Rachel Still
