Is the herb tea Essiac safe (non-toxic) to cats? It contains sheep sorrel, burdock, slippery elm and turkey rhubarb-roots. It is safe for humans but I know some herbs are toxic to cats. I would like to give it as a tonic to my cat. I would be using nurse Rene Caisse original formula. The recommended dose is 1/2 fluid oz (14 drops) 2 times a day for a small 7 pound cat. Is this safe? I don't want to give her anything that would harm her kidneys. Need advice. Help.
