Response to Re: FIP - possible alternative

Hi. I have taken my cat in to a homeopathic vet for treatment as soon as the test results were in and for 4 days he was intraveniously injected with 3000 mg of vitamin C, as well as vitamins A & E and some amino acids and proteins. Since those initial injections he became more alert and vibrant again,( his eyesight is very weak ) and since then has been back for two weekly injections of vitamin C. The problem that we still haven't overcome is his abdomen which is still swelling up with fluid. He was given an injection of cortisone last week as the vet said that he may respond better to the cortisone as the vitamin injections aren't curing the fluid build up in his belly. He's still on 1000 mg of vitamin C tablets a day as well as some homeopathic drops of 5 mushroom extract. He is also taking 'Transfer Factor' capsules which is bovine colostrum, even though the vet reckons it isn't working after 2 weeks of being on it. ( I live in hope and personally think that for a seriously terminally ill cat he should stay on the Transfer Factor longer ) He has been drained 4 times now and I think if something doesn't happen soon that there is little hope for him. Has anyone else out there had a similar story with their cat? I am extrememly eager to hear all or any similar stories. I'm not giving up on him as it has barely been a month since he started treatment and I am willing to stick it out with him for another few months to see if he improves as I think he deserves a chance. He's given me so much pleasure and companionship up to this point, that I dread to euthanaise him if there's still a small chance he may pull through.
