I am not familiar with the drug that you mentioned that your cat is taking. I know of someone who does the following to prevent a uti in their cat - vitamin C every day and also wipes the cat's bottom with a diaper wipe (once a day). Sounds strange but it works. Initially, this person's vet told them to use uroeze to change the ph level of the cat. Then the cat had an expensive operation to remove his male parts -wrong way to go. This vet "forgot" to mention that this operation resulted in an increase in uti. The new approach vit C & diaper wipes seems to be working. Best of luck. Please note, there are "two kinds" of uti (my understanding). In one case, the urine is too basic (ph level) and in the other case the urine is too acidic (ph level). The vit c ONLY works in one case...
